I agree... I might like psychic more than new Ruby, but... I dunno... she was just so... obnoxious. Ruby was just, poorly cast and written.

I liked the psychic. I thought she was funny and perfect for Dean. I also liked the new Ruby. I thought there were some great lines last night too!

I don't pay, Dean That's one of the many things I LOVE about SPN... BSG may have memorable scenes... and some good lines... But SPN has memorable scenes and TONS of awesome lines...

The only thing she provided was the hysterical, "You ARE NOT INVITED." Ditto. Remember how Ruby said to Sam I'll be the fallen angel on your shoulder? She's kind of like the exact opposite of Castiel, so maybe it's supposed to be like Castiel teaches Dean like Ruby was teaching Sam with the powers thing. If that was the case I think a Bro vs Bro showdown is inevitable in the season finale.

I can FINALLY join you!!! What an awesome episode. I totally loved that scene where Dean is walking towards that gas station and the episode title was shown ... for a moment I thought that maybe Dean's coming out of hell maybe has something to do with rising Lazarus ... but with Castiel, probably not. Unless Castiel maybe isn't really an angel? I have to say, I don't like the idea of angels being a part of the mythology. The actor was good though ... JB would have been perfect I had to giggle at Bobby throwing the holy water in Dean's face ... both their expressions were just priceless! Sam and Dean's reunion ... ahh, pretty much how I imagined it I think Bobby was able to pull Sam back and stop him from attacking Dean because deep down Sam wanted him to ... this was Dean standing before him! My heart broke for Sam during his "apology". He has tried so much, even trying make a deal, and nothing worked. And he still feels like has to apologize. I haven't seen much of Ruby ... darn monitor is too dark! So I can't say much about the actress. I do get the feeling she is playing with Sam ... she doesn't want to get him and Dean? That really doesn't sound like her. Unless she and Sam have gotten a lot closer (not THAT close) during the last four months and she actually started caring for him. I like that Sam is still using his powers. It was pretty inevitable after the finale, I think. Once you have them, you don't get rid of them that easily, so why not use the for some demon killing? He just needs to be real careful ... both Ava and Jack turned evil when they used all their powers. I thought it was sad that they didn't use Missouri for the psychic part .... until that eyes thing happened *g* I liked the scene in the car. There was such a huge distance between them, it was almost painful to see. And yet they managed to get something "fun" into it (the ipod). I found it interesting that Sam took the car and didn't even think about the fact that it's his car. He got so used to being on his own, I think that can cause some more tension between the brothers. I'm so frakking glad that I finally got to see it!!!!!!! Oh, and Seelix .... THAT'S where I knew her from. I knew she looked familiar!

I was just wondering about you this morning SIl, if you had the chance to see the show yet.
Yor--you asked about Sam's eyes. I watched the scene again, this time with no lights on, and you can see part of the white of Sam's eye, so I think it was just shadows.

If the eyes had been black, that would indicate that he's possessed, wouldn't it? I don't think the fact that he has turned evil (or is on his best way there) would make his eyes turn black. Ava's and Jack's eyes haven't been black, have they?

no they didn't... Good point... I just thought it would be cool if his eyes did go black when he's using demonic energy...

I think his eyes would have flickered yellow if anything. Like in AHBL2 with Jake when he says "Lady put that gun to your head." his eyes flicker yellow.
Dean was resurrected by an angel. Sam was resurrected by a demon. Dean is apparently needed to do 'God's work.' Sam was suppose to do the "Devil's work'. Dean may or may not be a reluctant angel. Sam may or may not be a reluctant anti-Christ. I think they're really starting (more so) to be screwed.

Plus, wouldn't Seelix have sensed he was a demon? She did say she smelled his soul, too (don't know if that means anything or not).
I meant to reply to mallokitty's post earlier--I think Kripke may be setting up a brother vs brother, too. Now, whether or not it's a good vs evil thing, or the powers involved (ie Ruby and Castiel) who want it to be that way (for whatever reason) remains to be seen.

Tired of me yet? ;D
THere's one more thing that I noticed. I consider it more of a realistic kind of touch. When Pam's eyes are burned out, and Bobby tell Sam to call 911, you can hear Sam in the background. I've seen shows in the past where stuff like that happens, and you just assume 911 is called, but you never hear it. It just makes it seem more "real," I guess.

I didn't notice that. I'll have to pay better attantion the next time. You're right, that is a nice addition.
