Well, I'm a little...underwhelmed. Where were Sam and Deani n this story? Too many people here. And, God help me, but I absolutely cannot stand Ruby! Why, oh why, couldn't she have died! Ugh! I really could have done without the whole torture scene. Mr. Kripke--I could care less about the demon with the heart of gold. I want the boys. When Dean went to help her up in the beginning, I wanted to throw something at my TV! Where's a barfing smilie when you need one?
?
Anna--I wasn't all that shocked that she was a fallen angel, but the whole grace thing literally made me laugh. It reminded me of that movie "Hook." There was a character, an old man, who kept saying he had lost his marbles, and it ended up he was one of the Lost Boys and had really lost some marbles! I don't know why, but that whole, "I lost my grace" thing reminded me of that.
Allistair (or however you spell his name)--he's creepy, and a demon I would like to see back, although I had a hard time understanding him at some points. Did he sound that way last week?
Uriel--I LOL and the "angel food cake." I like the actor, but he's really the smiteful angel, making Dean choose between Sam and Anna (like he had a choice, of course he's going to choose his brother). Does he hate Dean because of what Dean did in hell? He really has no compassion. Or is it because Dean is human, and he looks down on humans?
Castiel--now, I would have liked more of him!
I think he is like Anna. I think he wants to know what it's like to be human, but he knows he can't break that rule. I think he has compassion for both Dean
and Sam. There were scenes where he would look down, and it was like he felt bad for them and for what was happening to them. But, as I saw elsewhere, if he could get Dean out of hell, why was he helpless against Allistair? Or was that the writers trying to tell us that, yes, Dean likes Castiel, just as Castiel likes Dean?
What happened to Anna and Allistair?
The Impala scene--well, first, it answered my question as to whether or not Castiel's handprint was still on Dean's arm. I chuckled at the "Titanic" hand at the end. So, while Sam's sex scene was all rushed and harsh and with a demon, Dean's is all gentle and slow and with an angel. Is the contrast between the two a coincidence, or is the show dropping some anvils on us?
Pamela--didn't like her here. That whole bit with Sam felt awkward. Jared did the best he could with it, but it just felt funny to me. And, hey, Pamela, Castiel told you to stop...you were the one who kept pushing to "see" him. But Anna telling them to close their eyes was good continuity.
I felt that Sam and Dean stood around and watched their story. I just would have liked more of them.
When Castiel and Uriel showed up and let it be known that Dean had led them there, the look on Sam's face was like a punch in the gut...the shock that Dean would give her up. That look that Jared gave was amazing! Dean looking down like that, ashamed...how does Jensen do that? You knew exactly what he was feeling. And the angels don't play nice. Of course, I'm guessing the whole thing was part of the plan.
And, sorry Yor, but Sam just knew about those two comets? That was a little much for me, but I guess they needed someway to explain it, and Bobby wasn't around...
So, did Castiel and Anna have a thing once?
But, it was all saved by the last 5 minutes! I wasn't surprised by what Dean said...I kind of figured it was something like that, but boy Jensen broke my heart. Why hasn't that boy gotten an Emmy? The scene did remind me of CSPWDT from season 2, but with more emotion--from both boys. I can see why Jared cried while filming this. They both get into their characters so well. It was almost painful to watch Dean talk about hell. The show doesn't have to show hell--Jensen show's us with his face, with how he says the words. I just wish Sam would have put a hand on his shoulder or something. After that scene, and that last line, I think Dean has finally broken.
I still would have liked more of the boys, and Ruby totally gone!
