Sam's sex scenes are always more rushed... always been my gripe. I wanted to puke at the hand print on the steamy window. Too cliche for Kripke.
I didn't mind Ruby. I loved that Sam set the whole plan up. I'm loving the good guys and the bad guys in this... they're all good at their roles. I really do like Castiel.
Sam didn't just know about the comets, he was researching... He asked leading questions and then he researched it...
I didn't mind the role the boys played in this. They're part of a bigger battle and that had to be defined for us. I think this episode did a nice job of doing that...
Personally, I'm more ticked right now at the CW than ever after your last paragraph... rub it in why don't you...

Okay...here it is...
D: "It wasn't 4 months, you know."
S: "What?"
D: "It was 4 months up here, but down there...I don't know. Time's different. It was more like 40 years."
S: "My God."
D: "They, uh, the sliced and carved and tore at me in ways you...until there was nothing left. And then suddenly, I would be whole again. Like magic. Just so they could start in all over. And Allistair, at the end of everyday...every one...he would come over and he would make me an offer to take me off the rack if I put souls on, if I started the torture. And everyday I told him to stick it where the sun shines. For 30 years I told him. But then I couldn't do it anymore, Sammy. I couldn't. And I got off that rack...God help me, I got right off it and I started ripping them apart. I lost count of how many souls. The thi...the things that I did to them..."
S: "Dean...Dean, look, you held on for 30 years. That's longer than anyone would of."
D: "How I feel...this...inside me...I wish I couldn't feel anything, Sammy. I wish I couldn't feel a damn thing."
What got me, was when he would say "Sammy." The way his voice sounded...you really should see if someone puts it up on YouTube or something.

He asked leading questions and then he researched it...
I must have missed all that while gagging about Ruby (sorry, I just really can't stand her, and I have no one to gripe to about it!).
Too cliche for Kripke.
Yes, totally.
They're part of a bigger battle and that had to be defined for us.
I know, and you're right. I just still would have liked to have seem more of them. I liked that they came up with the plan. I don't know...maybe I'm in a mood or something...
rub it in why don't you
Sorry. You really should try to watch it to get the full effect of both of their faces with the words...how Sam's face changes while Dean's talking, how broken Dean sounds.

Trust me, it will be watched...
Sam's research struck out because of Ruby's comment... she called him a too buff to be a nerd, or something like that... I loved it.
I don't love her, but tonight I loved how she did remain loyal to the boys and even when I thought she was trying to get out of the area, she wanted to save them too... However, I'll NEVER like that actress...

That's part of it for me. How can they get someone like Nicki Aycox and then get rid of her but keep this one? Plus, I just feel like Ruby is being crammed down my thoat. "See how good she? She's so wonderful!" I want to scream, "She's a demon!" She's like a third wheel or something. And the torture scene? Why did we need that? To see how great and wonderful and loyal she is? Ugh!!!!!
Excuse my rant...I just feel like she adds nothing to the story, other than to take time away from Sam and Dean.

I think they were trying to show us how horrible the demon dude is... I do see your point.

Woah. Okay, Sam's screwed a demon, Dean screwed an angel, that seems so... wrong. I really don't like Alastair's accent, I don't know why, I just don't like it for a demon. (I really don't know what a good accent would be for a demon.) I loved the Demon vs Angel fight.
Well, Sam finally found out about what Dean was doing in hell. Poor Dean, 40 years of torture, think that'll make Sam feel even more guilty about Dean's deal.
I was kind of disappointed when Pamela showed up, I kind of wanted it to be Missouri, even though there was no real chance of that happening.

I think they were trying to show us how horrible the demon dude isWell, I would have much rather seen him torture Dean then Ruby. And now I've realised why Dean's been drinking....I thought it was to help him forget what happened in hell, but after his last line telling Sam he didn't want to feel anything at all , now I think that's the reason. He just wants to be numb. ETA: I had to chuckle when Anna and Dean were talking, and she was giving him all the reasons to be human, and he was giving her all the reasons not to be. Then she mentions chocolate cake...have any of you watched the vids from the convention last week? Jensen mentions his favorite cake is chocolate, with chocolate on the inside, on top, chocolate sprinkles, with chocolate on the side. When Anna mentioned the cake, I couldn't help but think of that.

Think he was dropping hints... did it on purpose? You mean about the cake? Nah, someone asked him what his favorite flavor cake is. Although, I wonder if the writers wrote it in there because they know. Of course, I have a ton of stuff to do, and here I am wondering about chocolate cake! ;D And Jensen...and chocolate cake with Jensen

More reason to show I'm not as much a JA-girl... Chocolate cake does nothing for me.

Mmm...I love chocolate!
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had to have some form of chocolate, with a Dr Pepper, everyday! Usually the chocolate was in the form of a Little Debbie snack cake (Swiss Cake Rolls...mmmmmmmmm).
