Ya know... I wore a Bon Jovi Tshirt for "band tshirt day" (homecoming) and I felt kinda special knowing the boys sang together to the group, BUT the silly kids only mocked me for the tee.
Tz, kids these days *shakes head*
As for the missing promos; I read an interview with Ostroff (head of CW) yesterday and she (or he? I forgot) said they want to concentrate their programs on young women. And apperantly, young women don't care enough for Supernatural *rolls eyes*
Is it just me or do TV Producers simply don't get that viewers have changed over the years? It's not just the boys watching Sci-Fi and women don't just care about smutty romance. We want good television!

I've read several articles lately on how TV is scrambling to catch up to the times... The industry got a rude awakening. they thought they controlled us?

I'm with you both!
Um, and helllo, Dawn? What about Jensen and Jared doesn't appeal to young woman (or old woman, or any woman)? Does she not know what they look like (which, I know she does because I've seen a picture that's floating out on the web of her with Jensen, Jared, Tom Welling, and Michael Rosenbaum)?
I guess I'm not in her ideal viewership, because I don't really find anyone on her new shows good-looking (except for Rob Estes, but by CW standards he's old ;D).

We never seem to fit in the ideal viewership, neither with SPN nor with BSG.
Do these people not watch TV? If our ways of watching TV has changed, their's must have too. They must have family, friends ... don't they pay attantion to what is going on around them?
Any business that is THAT slow in catching up with what their "customers" want, would be broke by now.

ok, I can't hold my tongue any longer... I have to ask. I'm watching the final scene and I must know if I'm off base. (on this topic only)
Lilith kills Dean and then and only then does Sam have the ability to fight off her power. Was it watching Dean die or was it necessary for Dean to die in order for Sam to be protected? (Does the difference make sense? If Dean was in another room, and Sam wasn't sure, would he still be safe?)

Ooh, good questions. I always though it was watching Dean die--the emotions of seeing that, the anger he felt, the guilt at not being able to stop it--which opened him up to his powers (or whatever stopped Lilith).
Your other thought is interesting, though. Do you mean, that, if by saving Sam, did Dean condem him, so to speak? Like, because Dean died, the powers come out, making it easier for Sam to go all dark-side?

Not condemn him... I don't believe that Sam giving into his 'powers' has to be a bad thing, some bumps of course, but not necessarily bad.
More like when Dean died he became a guardian angel of sorts... Meaning the power didn't come from Sam at all. It was Dean.
I know. It's a leap. It was probably the emotion of losing Dean.

I saw it like this: Sam held back his powers all the time, subconsciously at least. Ruby told him that he could save Dean if he'd use them. And in the last moment, when he has to watch Dean die, he finally gives in to them. Only it's too late to save Dean.

Yeah, I tend to agree with what Sil says. I think it was the emotion of losing Dean that brought out the powers.
