"OK, I'm going to hell. How will you save me and get me out?" THANK YOU!!!! I know I've said it to yor before, but I was so waiting for at least one of them to say something like, "I/You may have to go to hell, but who says I/you have to stay?" As for Sam, I'm guessing it's the writers wanting to show the brother bonds; that even in hell, the bond is still there and Sam is the one Dean wants, Sam is the one who's still alive (unlike John), the one who could maybe still save him. I think Dean really thought Sam could maybe, possibly get him out of the deal, while also knowing that he couldn't (does that make sense?). Plus, he was in pain, so who knows? I've read a speculation that he is just trapped in his mind and he can hear Sam, that's why he's calling to him. I'm surprised he was able to form an understandable word, with those hooks and chains in him and around him! {{shrugs}} I guess we'll have to wait until Sept. If they bring him back his body will be ok? I suppose they could bring his soul back to another body,Don't even say that! Seriously, I may be a "Dean-ite," but the thing that really attracts me to this show is the Sam/Dean relationship, and it's because of the Jared/Jensen relationship. Those are the two I want to see together, in their own bodies (preferably with not as many layers ). Not one of them in a different body, not one as a spirit--just the 2 brothers, hunting evil. As for the body, I'm still holding out hope that the body is somehow still alive, and they can get him to a hospital and keep him alive until they can get his soul back into him. I wonder if he'll still be able to see demons (wouldn't that be cool!). LOL--yep, yor, it's mowing season again (at least until July, when it gets so hot here everything dies!).

"If they bring him back his body will be ok? I suppose they could bring his soul back to another body." Bite your tongue, Yor!! However, you have to admit it would be HILARIOUS if Dean came back in the body of a woman. As for Dean calling out for Sam...from what I've heard/read about hell, it is something that is completely and totally incomprehensible to us. I took it as Dean was reduced to a person who couldn't put together any coherent thought except to call for his brother, Sam. Maybe he wasn't calling for Sam to help him as much as he was calling for him in a way a child calls for his mother when they are hurting? I know...this is weird and I'm not making sense....

I jumped a little when Sam's face did all that freaky stuff at the beginning.I’m wondering if this might mean something more. Bobby said that Dean had hallucinations – which Dean admitted. But was it really a hallucination? Or did Dean suddenly see something in Sam that is buried deeply in him? Something connected to his powers? And maybe that something was “activated” when Lillith couldn’t kill him. They've really amped up the blood in these last few episodes (was there a sale on karo syrup and red food coloring?).LOL I’m sure Kripke loved those blood scenes Notice, Dean is all alone, which is his fear. Is that what hell is? Is he even in hell? Could he be in purgatory?Kripke said in some interview that we wouldn’t get to see hell (of course that could have changed since then), so maybe Dean is stuck in some kind of limbo? Which would be good because this way it should be easier for Sam to save him. But hell or not … that was one intense scene!!! I keep teling myself that I made it through a year hiatus for BSG, surely I can make it to Spet (and no more strikes, please!).I’m telling myself the same thing. It’s not really working, is it? Oh, and how I loved the Bon Jovi scene!Me too!!! Someone on supernatural_tv posted an audio clip from that scene … and gosh, listing to it again brought me close to tears all over again. I’ll never be able to listen to that song as before again. Heh, and can you see this conversation somewhere down the road?
Sam "You know, when you died..."
Dean "Well, when you died..."
Bobby "Shut-up, you idjits!"ROFL Love that!!! I loved the holy water in the sprinklers! That was just plain AWESOME! Bobby rules!!! I have nothing about why the mom wouldn't notice, except maybe she doesn't know what she's looking for?I think she was so terrified, that at that point, she wasn’t really capable of noticing any change in her daughter. Plus, the girl had been sleeping, maybe Lilith had only left her body after she fell asleep. A question--do you guys think Dean is really dead, or will they find a pulse at the beginning of the season and be able to keep his body alive? I think he’s dead, as hard as that is. But I’m sure they will find a way to bring his soul back to his body – and a way to heal his body before that because otherwise he would just die all over again LOL Blacklid from lj suggested that maybe Sam would try to use Doc Benton’s formula to “repair” Dean’s body … I don’t really like that idea, but I think Sam will come up with some way to fix Dean. He needs to have something to come back in when his soul escapes hell and Dean being Dean he wouldn’t just use some other guys body. Is he trapped in hell or inside his own mind?Definitely hell, as I think he’s dead. But it’s a hell that was created by his own mind (does that make sense?), so I think both are right. I suppose they could bring his soul back to another body, but when he looks in a mirror or reflection he's JA? (That thought just KILLS you Dean-ites, don't it?)It would definitely kill this Dean-ite here *raises hand* They better find a way to fix Dean’s body. This is another thing that might irk you all... I was a bit TICKED about Dean calling for Sam. Why just Sam? Whay not dad? Was he dellusional? He made his choice. He told Sam not to go to extremes, etc. AND THEN SITS AND SCREAMS FOR HIM? OK, I can understand it on one hand, but part of me was ticked.Dean had just died, so I think he probably doesn’t even realize where he is and what happened. He’s confused and hurt and scared and he doesn’t know where Sam is and he just needs someone to help him out of that nightmare. And Sam has always been the one person Dean relies on the most, so it makes sense that he would call for Sam and not the Dad. Dad was never really there to help him out (except when he made the deal), it was Dean helping Dad (remember how John said in IMTOD that Dean used to put his hand on his shoulder when he returned from a hunt and said that everything would be okay?) Dean KNOWS that Sam will try EVERYTHING to save him, whereas he doesn’t have that faith in his Dad. Plus, Dad is dead, so, you know … Although it would be AWESOME if John (and Mary?) were able to save Dean from heaven *g* Then again, what ticks me off as well? NO WHERE in this season did they ever discuss the aspect of "OK, I'm going to hell. How will you save me and get me out?"In my mind, they simply didn’t have the heart to discuss that. Because talking about how to get Dean out of hell would mean admitting that maybe they wouldn’t get him out of his deal. And this has been their number one goal: Getting Dean out of the Deal – not getting him out of hell. So I think neither of them had the heart to bring that up; maybe they even refused to think about it, who knows?

Or did Dean suddenly see something in Sam that is buried deeply in him? Something connected to his powers? And maybe that something was “activated” when Lillith couldn’t kill him. I have read alot about this (even one review where they said that Dean saw Sam's face that way because of the demon blood), but I honestly never thought it was anything other than a hallucination. In "Crossroads Blue," the guy they saved saw the same thing happen to his wife, and I don't think she had demon blood or anything in her. Now, it probably added to Dean's fear, to see the face of the one person he loves the most--the person he sold his soul for--look that way. But I think it was used to amp up the emotions, not to show that Sam may be part demon. I do think that maybe something was activated when he saw what the hellhounds were doing to Dean, but I don't think it's connected to his face distortion in the beginning, I think it's because Sam realised he couldn't save his brother (not to mention watching that happen to his brother--it was hard for me to watch!). I don't even know that Sam knows what happened at the end there, and right now I don't think he really cares .

Ok, I've decided there's an unwritten rule to this deal! Since Dean sold his soul out of PURE, supposedly non-selfish reasons, he gets a chance. He doesn't go straight to hell. SO, when Dean died, Sam was protected due to Dean's sacrifice and now Sam will of course be able to save him.

I don't think it will happen like this, but it's a great idea In "Crossroads Blue," the guy they saved saw the same thing happen to his wife, and I don't think she had demon blood or anything in her.Right, I had completely forgotten about that.

Okay, so I watched it again and remembered a few things from my first viewing... When they showed the back of the Impala, I remember thinking, "Hey, I wonder if they know the back taillight is out?" (they as in the people who work on the show). Then, the cops pulls them over for it and I'm all, "Well, duh, of course they knew!" I also couldn't believe when Dean just started attacking the cop. I remember thinking, "Why is he looking at that cop so funny?" Do you think Sam knew Dean would show up when he called Ruby, or was it that Dean knew Sam would summon her and set his own trap? Hell--the first time, I was so focused on Dean's beuatiful yet pain-filled face, that I didn't notice the hooks through his stomach and shoulder. Talk about hell! And I think he had his amulet on--I wonder if that will come into play anywhere? Where was Bobby at the end? Yor--great idea! I've wondered myself if maybe because of the reason Dean sold his soul if there would be some sort of out there. I just want him alive, back in his own body, and then these two better not make another deal--and they'd better shake on that, too!

Is it September yet?? Seriously...where's a time machine when you need one? So, on the season 2 DVDs, during AHBL, Sera Gamble says during the commentary that she called another writer and bragged, "I just killed Sam Winchester!" Do you think we'll hear Kripke saying the same thing about Dean???

Seriously, I totally agree with you. Kripke's got guts, I'll give him that. I just hope he knows where he's going and isn't sitting at home right now saying to himself, "How do we save Dean?"

Oh no, not Kripke. He knows exactly how he'll save Dean. The only thing he's thinking about probably is how he can make it more bloody and gory LOL

It'll be something if he can make it bloodier than the blood spurting in Dean's chest like a geyser! ;D
