They wouldn't dare... and shouldn't... well, barring an Actor's strike.

Ok, I'm finally able to watch. So I'm going to comment while it's on and I haven't read anyone else's comments yet! My first? My heart about DIED with the intro! It HURT to hear the song. OK, again... ARGH... this just HURTS "Aren't you just bringin' down the room!" GO BOBBY! Gads... my stomach actually HURTS... I'm soooo emotional right now! I hate that Ruby is making soooo much sense. Oh... I see Dean's logic now. But it HURTS like hell. I'm keeping Hans away from Lilith! Have I mentioned that I LOVE BOBBY? Do I look like a ditchable prom date to you? He is getting the BEST dialogue! OK, no more singing... well, shouting! Seriously, it was funny but PAINFUL! OK? Seeing the real face? So, Dean needs to be dead for some reason? (I'm SO glad I can fast forward.) Ew. Sam wiping the blood on his sleeve. Why the F did Sam hesitate? Ok, I know she was now innocent, but he didn't know! WTF!!!!!! I hurt. My heart hurts. omg... SO, she couldn't hurt Sam all of a sudden. But he was too late. Guess we're going to visit hell?

So, here's my question as I was going to bed. Did Dean's sacrifice somehow provide Sam that protection against her attack OR did it open that part of Sam that Ruby was trying to access? Is Ruby (the body she's inhabiting) dead? Will we see her back in a new body?
Can't wait to get home tonight and rewatch. It is going to be a freakishly LONG summer!

Well, I went totally unspoiled (except for the small pic of Dean's bloody face in TV Guide), and I'm did! The beginning was exactly how I'd thought it would be--Dean running from hellhounds and then waking up. I read that JBeaver said at a con last week that between takes Jensen was crying--I can see why. Dean kept such control of his emotions. Every now and then, you could see them on his face, but he wouldn't give into them. I LOVE BOBBY! I loved his comment about family. He really does get some great lines. I really enjoy watching him with the boys, and I hope he's back next season. I think JP was awesome here. When Ruby told him he was too late to help Dean, I felt a punch in the gut! Who hasn't had a situation where they thought, "If only I'd done such-and-such when I had the chance"? JP's face was spot on. Watching Dean die was so painful for him--you could see his anguish. I'm not sure about the whole light thing and then Sam standing up okay. Is it another power? I'm not crazy about the super-powers stuff, but now that he basically has nothing to lose, I can see them coming out and him embracing them. I hope he doesn't, but I wouldn't be surprised. Oh, and the scene with the little girl (and why do they get such scary little girls? She was a good little actress--I read somewhere she was on "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?"). I kept thinking that they wouldn't go there, they wouldn't have Sam kill a little girl on national TV! Then, I thought they would, and at the last second Dean showed up! Whew... Ruby--I actually liked KC better in this one (except for when she was Lilith--I get she was trying to be a little girl and all, but it felt funny to me). But is Ruby dead? Is KC coming back? What happened to Lililth? And those white eyes are freaky! Dean--thank you for voicing what many I've read (including myself) have been daying. NO MORE DEALS!!!! I jumped a little when Sam's face did all that freaky stuff at the beginning. When the clock struck 12, my heart beat increased! I was so sure they would come in with some eleventh hour and fifty-five minute save (by making Sam evil), but they didn't! I can't believe Kripke killed Dean! And that was a gruesome death. They've really amped up the blood in these last few episodes (was there a sale on karo syrup and red food coloring?). Notice, Dean is all alone, which is his fear. Is that what hell is? Is he even in hell? Could he be in purgatory? Or, I also thought, what with them going through his beautiful green eye like that, is he somewhere trapped on his own mind? Is that what hell is? Being trapped within yourself, living your biggest fears? I keep teling myself that I made it through a year hiatus for BSG, surely I can make it to Spet (and no more strikes, please!). Oh, and how I loved the Bon Jovi scene! And then at the end of it when Dean stopped singing, and you could just see him fighting his emotions. I loved smart Dean getting the knife, being able to see demons. Sam's tears broke my heart, and then Dean yelling his name-- Heh, and can you see this conversation somewhere down the road? Sam "You know, when you died..." Dean "Well, when you died..." Bobby "Shut-up, you idjits!" When is it coming south, Mick?I just saw this...I'm surprised they haven't come south. There are so many places (around me, even) that are said to be haunted (mainly Civil War-type stuff). Savannah is a big place for hauntings as well. A few years ago, they (not sure who) went into old Jonesboro (Sherman went through there) with a psychic, and they went into an old building that had been there since the Civil War. The building was said to be haunted--businesses had been there and then left because of that. Anyway, they found another room behind a wall, and the psychic couldn't stay in there because he/she said there was so much pain and death. Apparently, it had served as a hospital duirng the war. So, come on Kripke, bring them here!!!

I'm still speechless. I have to leave in a few minutes (cocktail night with my girls ... and boy do I need alcohol right about now!!!); I'll be back with my comments later tonight. DEAN!!!!!!! And YOR, I swear, when they showed Dean in hell (DEAN!!! NO!!!! ) I so exptected to see him having to watch Sam suffer or blame him, just like in your story!!! And gosh, to hear him scream Sam's name like that? One thing I can say withouth starting to bawl at typing it: I loved Ruby in this. Wow! Did the actress took some acting course or something? She was awesome!!! Both as Ruby and Lillith ... they better find a way to bring her back next season! Oh boys, how will I survive without you until September?

I need to watch it again, but where was Bobby at the end? They showed him looking at his watch and then out the window. I thought he was in the same house as the boys.
Oh, I think Ruby was possessed by Lilith when she and Sam seperated. Don't people know that when you seperate like that something bad happens?!
Also, does Lilith have the ability to transfer herself to another person in another way besides the black cloud into the mouth? I thought it was interesting that the mom still thought her daughter was possessed. Wouldn't she have noticed Lilith leave her daughter's body?

but where was Bobby at the end
I wondered that as well. And, on a Bobby note, I loved the holy water in the sprinklers!
I'm guessing that maybe, since Lilith is so powerful, she can just jump from one bady to another without anyone noticing. Plus, as you pointed out, Ruby wasn't with Sam, so he wouldn't see anything. I have nothing about why the mom wouldn't notice, except maybe she doesn't know what she's looking for?
A question--do you guys think Dean is really dead, or will they find a pulse at the beginning of the season and be able to keep his body alive? Is he trapped in hell or inside his own mind?

I keep wondering about "the body." If they bring him back his body will be ok? I suppose they could bring his soul back to another body, but when he looks in a mirror or reflection he's JA? (That thought just KILLS you Dean-ites, don't it?)
This is another thing that might irk you all... I was a bit TICKED about Dean calling for Sam. Why just Sam? Whay not dad? Was he dellusional? He made his choice. He told Sam not to go to extremes, etc. AND THEN SITS AND SCREAMS FOR HIM? OK, I can understand it on one hand, but part of me was ticked.
Then again, what ticks me off as well? NO WHERE in this season did they ever discuss the aspect of "OK, I'm going to hell. How will you save me and get me out?" (I assume, as do others, this is the plan.) If Dean is in hell, waiting for Sam to save him, ok, call for him. BUT they never alluded to this EVER? Did they?
Is it September yet? (Hell no... if it were, we'd have answers and I'd almost be done mowing lawn for the season, not heading outside to mow for the beginning of the season!)
