From cwtv.com:
Sam is abducted by the Yellow-Eyed Demon and finds himself in a ghost town with other children who have special abilities. They learn the Demon has brought them together to initiate his endgame: an all-out war against the human race.
In an effort to encourage Sam to fight, the Demon shows him what really happened to one of his parents.
Dean enlists Bobby's (guest star Jim Beaver) help to find Sam before the battle begins, but he arrives too late.
Sera Gamble wrote the episode directed by Robert Singer.

perhaps this is lame or already discussed... BUT as I watch this and think about the fact that Dean seems to have some special protection... Is that why when Andy sent the image to Dean, he got the headaches? Whenever Andy used his mojo before, it didn't cause pain in people...

Hmm, it could be. Whatever is protecting Dean, might have tried to shield him from the the vision, hence the headache.

Of course, it could be the whole continuity thing with the writers.
Maybe YED caused the pain?

That's also a good explanation. Maybe whatever was keeping Sam and the others inside the town, was also giving Andy troubles with getting the vision out.
Or ... he had said that he had never send a vision to someone so far away. Maybe it's related to that.

I noticed something else. In "Simon Said" when Andy makes Dean tell him the truth, he seemed to be in pain too afterwards. Not for long, just a few seconds, but, you know, it could be connected to the pain he had when he got Andy's vision.

Has it only been Dean that has had the pain thing where Andy is concerend (it's been a while since I've seen this episode)? Maybe it's related to whatever Mary's secret or whatever is?

I've never noticed it with anyone else. The Doctor and the girl at the end neither had any pain.

I'm listening to this episode while at work (don't worry, it's allowed! LOL) and there are 2 things that get me every time:
1) Andy dying. I loved him! He was so funny and such a neat character. Wish he could have lived.
2) When Dean calls out Sam's name right at the end when Sam has died. Gives me chills every single time.

Jensen absolutely broke my heart in that final scene. There's so many different ways he could have played it, but the way he did it, like you said, gave me chills. And the way Sam just became...boneless in Dean's arms. Guh!

They both did an awesome job in that scene!

Duh. If I had to wait, like a whole week, for the conclusion of this one, I would about die. Duh.
