From cwtv.com:
Sam and Dean investigate a small town in Wisconsin where children are falling into comas for no apparent reason. The brothers discover that a witch is creeping into the bedrooms of the children and stealing their "life force." While battling the witch, Dean recalls a past mistake that almost cost Sam his life at the hands of the very same witch, an event which has fueled Dean's protectiveness over Sam and his blind obedience to his father (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
The episode was written by Daniel Knauf and directed by Whitney Ransick.

Okay, seriously, I know they can't translate the show word for word, but ... I was just watching the ending of this episode and there is this wonderful scene where Sam is saying that he wished he still had that kind of innocence and Dean replies that sometimes, he wished the same (not an exact quote, but you know what I mean, right?) Well, in the german version, Dean says (as a reply to Sam saying he wished he could still have this innocence!!!): "Yes, sometimes that would be good for you." Huh? ? That's why I can't watch the show in german, despite the voices being not even remotely similar to the originals, the translation sometimes is just so horrible

They need to get someone who understands the show to translate for them

"Yes, sometimes that would be good for you."
Seriously? I LOL at that! It sure does change the context of the scene, doesn't it?

It changes it completely. This is one of my favourite Sam and Dean moments. It once again shows how much Dean cares for his little brother and would love to protect him from everything.
And in the german version? It sounds like Dean isn't satisfied with Sam's behaviour or something. That's so not the same.

Three good episodes in a row, starting from this one (didn't watch the final two of this season, yet...), so I finally have to say something. Yes, the flashbacks here did explain a lot about Dean's attitude toward both Dad and Little Brother, but I loved the pranks they were playing on each other. That also says something about their relationship. At the beginning, when Sam is asleep in the car, and Dean looks at him and you just know there's going to be that moving moment of brotherly love... but Dean puts that spoon into Sam's mouth and makes a picture. It's perfect and perfectly acted. I also liked Jared's acting when Sam glued the beer bottle...

Weren't the pranks in Hell House? I always love the flashback scenes. They show so much about their childhood with just these few short scenes. So you're close to Season 1 finale ... enjoy

Poor Dean...it seems like, based on the flashbacks and what he says to Sam at the end, that he was more of a father to Sam than John was. I love how Sam tried to relieve Dean of his guilt, to try to get him to see it wasn't his fault, that he was just a kid.

Yeah, both boys definitely had their substitute father. I wonder if John ever realized that?

Um. I meant Lee, you know, being a substitute father for Zak. That's one of the things that really pulled me to all the Lee'Zak fanfiction, but this issue was rarely taken care of. It was usually the Kara/Zak/Lee love triangle. Well, whatever. So this is definitelly the thing that keeps me interested in Dean and Sam, despite all the horror stuff...

Oops, oh right ... that what happens when I reply before my first caffeine shot LOL (also, I could have sworn it was yor who had posted that LOL)
You're right, Lee and Zak probably had a similar relationship as Sam and Dean.
