From cwtv.com:
Sam and Dean finally make contact with their father, but he tells them to stop looking for him and sends them on another ghost-hunting job. Frustrated with their father's evasiveness, Sam sets out alone to find him while Dean stays back to obey his father. Dean investigates a small town in Indiana where couples have gone missing the same day each year and discovers the farmers are sacrificing them to a Pagan God who takes the form of a scarecrow.
While en route to California, Sam meets Meg (Nicki Aycox), a young backpacker, who unbeknownst to Sam is working for a demon.

Watching the other night... I fell in love with John all over again... Why?
During his conversation with Sam... He calls him "kiddo."
Sigh... he's always their daddy... even if it doesn't seem so. Commanders don't call their soldiers "kiddo."

So true.
*sigh* I wish we'd get more scenes with John and his sons ... maybe in flashbacks?

When we get it back on the air, we need to start a campaign to bring back John!!!

Oh yes, we should really do that.
Speaking of new episodes, while we were chatting today, I think it was Imp who said that there might be more episodes if the strike is resolved soon. Not many, because the actors aren't allowed to shoot after April (at least I think that's what she said), but enough to end the storyline with Dean's deal.

I had read a recent interview with Kripke where he said they could maybe get 3-4 new episodes (if the strike were to end soon). Is that enough the deal with the deal?
Ooh, and count me in as someone who would also like to see more John!

Dang... I'd have to go reread, but I thought Kripke said he wouldn't want to cheat us and rush the solution either...
I'd respect that.

So I guess we'll get to see the deal being dealt with in Season 4 ... I'm still hoping for a few more episodes for this Season though. Things are looking good with the strike, right?

There was a small article in my paper this morning, and it said that a deal could be made sometime this week. {{fingers crossed}}

I've read something like this too. Maybe we really do get a few more eps *crosses fingers, toes and anything else that can be crossed in order to get this strike to be over*

I read a very small blurb this morning (but I can't find the link now) that said someone (can't remember the name, but I'm guessing he's someone high-up in the negotiations) was telling people at the Superbowl last night that a deal had been struck. Hopefully we'll hear something soon!

um... (I'm feeling pessimistic due to the speech loss.)
The rumors about a settlement have been circulating for a week... Even on Ask Aussiello.

I know...I hope they are correct, though. They actually had something running across the bottom of the screen during "Good Morning America" stating the possibility of a settlement as well, so maybe that means it's true?
Ooh, and they just said on E! that this Friday is the cut-off date for being able to salvage any part of the TV season. I would think that if there's nothing announced by then, then the rumors are indeed false (but I'm crossing my fingers that that's not the case).
