Dean is furious after Sam disappears to follow a lead on a case with clues that are identical to a case Sam solved as a kid. The demon turns out to be Amy (guest star Jewel Staite), who has been killing low-life thugs and taking their brains for dinner – the same demon Sam found as a kid.
Jensen Ackles directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin.

I was bummed we didn't get to see the three weeks after the hospital, but I LOVED the flashbacks! What an awesome background story for Sam! I loved Jewel Staite as Amy Pond (that HAD to have been a Doctor Who reference, I'm sure of it ). I wished she could have stayed around for longer, she might have made an interesting love interest for Sam They would have made a cute couple. The fallout when Sam finds out what Dean did is going to be ugly! Also, I was wondering... how did the leviathans find out about all their aliases?

how did the leviathans find out about all their aliasesMaybe Bobby is really a leviathon?? (I saw this idea on another site) I didn't care for this episode. Both boys were healed way too fast. It seems like the show is moving backwards with character growth instead of forward.

From my understanding one of the Leviathans created a computer program to help locate them. That's about the best I could understand from it. I'm amazed how crafty those things are considering they've spent many thousands of years locked away.
I can see your point. Personally I like the idea that they're really going back to the roots now. Like they burned down Bobby's house like the Roadhouse, and weaved Castiel out of the boys story. For a while It's like they always had Bobby's house to rest up, and relax a bit, and when all else failed an Angel was pretty good to have in the cards. Personally, I've started to see Cas as kind of the third brother, and I like the idea that now they're back at square one.
At this point It's closer to the first few seasons (Pre Apocalypse) than the ones Post Apocalypse where they had more resources to help fight the enemy. Now they got nothing but each other.

I love that it is more like that And welcome, Rath! :-) Maybe Bobby is really a leviathan?? 8-) (I saw this idea on another site) Interesting idea! I remember the part about the computer program, but I still don't know how that is supposed to work. They send the applications from different places, use different names and probably also different credit card companies. How can you make a computer program out of that? It doesn't make sense, IMO (and it probably shouldn't bother me this much, because it's not really that important for the story LOL). I'm amazed how crafty those things are considering they've spent many thousands of years locked away. Maybe they can read the minds of their victims, like demons do.

Thank you.
To be honest after the first season I could keep up with the fake names. It's mostly just rock stars from the 70's, and 80's.
I think It's very likely the Leviathans have tons of unequaled powers, and resources. It's probably too early to tell since we've only just started, but I think the Leviathans could be the nastiest things the boys have fought so far.
