heart wrenching... I loved it. I loved Sam's reaction to meeting his mom... and I LOVED seeing "John" come out and play... and then Michael showing up? didn't expect that.
I kept wondering, how is this going to end? it will change everything...

Me, either!!! Even when John was on the ground and then he saw that light, I had no idea it would be Michael!!!
Yep, very heart-wrenching. I agree about the scene where Sam sees hi mom, and I also thought the scene where Dean and Sam are talking to her and telling her who they are and all was emotional, too.
And boy, does the whole "angels are watching over you" take on a whole other meaning!!!!

SO, if the vessel runs in the bloodline, can Dean be lucifers vessel and Sam Michael's? Can they mess things up by saying yes to the wrong person? They are the same blood? What would happen?

That would be an awesome twist! Dean being possessed by the devil and Sam by an angel. This would just be the kind of thing Kripke would do.
I loved this episode. So much heartbreaking family stuff. Sam seeing his Mom and talking to his Dad; he could finally tell him all the things he never got to say after John died.
I LOVED John being possessed by Michael. Amazing scene!

can Dean be lucifers vessel and Sam Michael's
Now, this is just my opinion, but I think that maybe, once upon a time, Sam could have been Michael's vessel, but that was before the YED bled into his mouth. I think that the demon blood in him has something to do with him being Lucifer's vessel and would also prevent him from being Michael's vessel.
As for Dean, I don't know. Is he Michael's vessel because he went to hell and broke the first seal? because he is the oldest? because Sam is Lucifer's vessel (and they have to keep it in the family, so to speak)?

I know officially it's set up to be a certain way, but that's why I'm thinking they use the bloodline rule to twist it around and screw it up to cause problems...
Dean, "I'll say yes, but only to Lucifer." Sam, "And I'll only say yes to Michael."
How's that for Freewill?

How's that for Freewill?I'm all for free will, which is why I hope they can win without either of them having to say "yes" to anyone!
