I've never been a fan of Jo, but I felt they gave her a fitting end. I was really sad to see Ellen go, but I knew she wouldn't leave Jo to die alone. Sniff...
Ok, about the Colt, I'm PISSED off that it didn't kill Satan. Yes, I knew he wouldn't die last night because we still have the rest of the season to go (what do you mean no more new episodes until January 21?!?!?) but I thought perhaps another demon had taken over Satan's meat suit to trick Sam and Dean.
I've enjoyed the light hearted episodes of the last few weeks, but was glad to get back to the SPN that I know and love. The Reapers creeped me out!!! And when Castiel looked up in the window and saw that one Reaper I think I actually jumped! Loved how Castiel used Meg to get out of his trap and then went and saved the boys. And the look on the faces of Bobby, Sam and Dean were heartbreaking at the end.

I agree with you Jensensbabe. The end was so sad, I was actually in tears. The boys, especially Dean, just looked crushed at the death's of Jo and Ellen. I was rather sad that they burned the picture but I can understand why. I too was really disappointed when Lucifer said "Ouch" like it barely hurt him. I was afraid he was going to use Dean against Sam to make Sam agree to become his vessel. Good thing Cas showed up when he did and I just loved how he used Meg to escape. I also had to reach for a tissue when Ellen stayed behind with Jo (I knew she would never leave her daughter alone, so sad!!! I had a feeling this was the break until January, seems like they do it every year about this time.

You know, I've never actually shed real tears over this show. I mean, I've felt bad, but never actually cried--until this one. The whole scene with Jo, Ellen, and the boys...Jo telling them she was staying, Ellen and her daughter, Dean and the kiss...talk about tears! And then Ellen saying, "Kick it in the ass!" (I had seen something where one of the guys said that was what Kim Manners always used to say). The scenes with Bobby and Dean--you could feel both of their pain. Even when the actors aren't in the same room, you can feel their connection. And poor Bobby--he so wanted to be a part of it, but instead he had to sit back and just wait. The reapers were creepy! Loved Mark Sheppard! I would really like to see him back at some point. Is Meg dead? ? I knew going in that there were going to be deaths of two characters we all knew. I kind of figured one was Jo but was not expecting the other to be Ellen. I guess it was needed to show us that this is a war, and in war there are casualties. Boy, the devil sure knows how to spin a tale. Although, I am kind of getting tired of him spinning the same one to Sam. You know, the whole, "Your brother thinks your a freak" thing. It hasn't worked yet, and I would hope by now that particular line of thought won't work on Sam. By the way, is Detroit where Dean said Sam died in "In the End?" Could the foursome actually see the hell hounds, or were they just going on sound? Ok, about the Colt, I'm PISSED off that it didn't kill SatanLOL--when I saw that, I couldn't help but think of a couple of recaps I've read over at TWOP. The person who recaps the show calls the Colt something like, "The thing that can kill anything except when it can't!" I wonder what the other four things are that it can't kill??? And the look on the faces of Bobby, Sam and Dean were heartbreaking at the end. ITA--it's hit them personally now. what do you mean no more new episodes until January 21?!?!?I KNOW!!!! What's up with that??? I had just read earlier in the week it would be January 14th, too! Geez... Also--this is a link to a video taken at the con last weekend in which the guys tell a funny story about filming the hell hounds scene. It occurs at about 5:30: www.youtube.com/user/cloudyvisions#p/u/22/uCqdyIC_OmI

When Dean shot Lucifer, I thought he was really dead. I sat here gaping, wracking my brain what would happen next. We still have half a season, so something worse had to come ... and what could possibly be worse than Lucifer??? I was almost relieved when Lucifer wasn't dead LOL And shocked too! Did they ever mention before the Colt couldn't kill everything? It can kill other angels, can't it? So is Lucifer that much more powerful than other angels? LOVED Crowley!!! I want to see him again! I wonder if he knew the Colt wouldn't work and it was all just a trick to get Sam to Lucifer? Or does he really wants Lucifer to be dead? I nearly cried too when Jo and Ellen died. I too thought that Ellen would never leave her daughter behind to die. They broke my heart *sniff* I never liked Jo, and just before they kill her off, they do make me like her!!! Loved the picture! That scene when everyone said their good byes to Ellen and Jo, Sam looked so cold! I mean, he was obviously sad, but Season One Sam would have been a lot more shaken by what was happening. I missed Season One Sam a lot in that scene. And then Ellen saying, "Kick it in the ass!" (I had seen something where one of the guys said that was what Kim Manners always used to say)From what I read, apparently a camera man came to Samantha Ferris right before that scene and he asked her if she could somehow build in these words when she tells Dean not to miss. I love that she did it! Is Meg dead??Her body probably is, but I'm sure the demon is still around. By the way, is Detroit where Dean said Sam died in "In the End?"Yes, it is! I wonder how many more people know about the future? Could the foursome actually see the hell hounds, or were they just going on sound? I think they were just going on sound.

I don't recall them ever mentioning that fact. I don't know about it killing other angels--they lost if before angels ever appeared on the scene.
Iwonder if he knew the Colt wouldn't work and it was all just a trick to get Sam to Lucifer? Or does he really wants Lucifer to be dead?
Ooh, interesting! I believed what he said when Lucifer made that comment about them only being demons when he killed them. Are Lucifer and Crowley working together somehow?
From what I read, apparently a camera man came to Samantha Ferris right before that scene and he asked her if she could somehow build in these words when she tells Dean not to miss. I love that she did it!
I didn't know this! Wow, it makes it even more emotional. I wonder if it was rehearsed beforehand, or if she just threw it in there when filming the scene? If so, kudos to the guys for totally staying in character!

BTW... I'm betting the Colt can't kill Sam or Dean, aka Vessels. That's how this will end and not kill a brother?

I've read the same speculation elsewhere. What I would like to know is if the writers know all the things the colt can't kill, or if it was just a number they pulled out of the air>
