Dean seems NUMB to me when it comes to Sam.
Ok, so this is me once again mixing up real-life with TV, but I have to say, after watching first-hand trust being broken, I can say that I think this is normal. When you are hurt that badly by someone you love--heck, someone you helped raise--someone who you depend on, it hurts, and it's easier to just, as you say, be numb, then to have to actually feel the feelings (if that makes sense). If Dean were to let himself really feel, I don't know that he would be able to do what he has to do to stop the apocalypse. Right now, he needs to turn off everything and focus on what's at hand. Dean--like Sam--needs to deal with everything that has happened, needs to deal with the broken trust and the disappointment he's feeling.
I think it's important for Sam to want Dean's trust back and not just accept that the mistrust is there
Oh, I agree. It's very important for the person who has done the hurting to get that trust back, but what he also has to do is give Dean the time and space to get to that point that he's ready to trust Sam again. Sam needs and wants the trust back, but Dean may not be ready to give it back just yet.
I felt the writing was very true--they didn't gloss everything over (like Dean's PTSD from hell). I think it's about time the boys have dealt with their issues. I'm just so excited by the growth I saw in the two of them!!!

ABSOLUTELY... I didn't mean to imply it wasn't totally correct. I would be too. It's utterly understandable!
