I was really disappointed how they portrayed teen Dean (that is just to funny sounding!). I thought perhaps they were trying to show that Dean's low self esteem started a long time ago. I mean, he was only suppose to be around 17 in this ep ( I think somewhere they said Sam was 13, and isn't Dean only 4 years older than Sam?). I know Dean likes the girls but I just don't see him treating Brenda (?) like he did. I thought it would have better if she dropped him because of where he lived. Sam's teen was well done I thought. I did laugh my head off at PE teacher Dean. He was really cute and funny there. Being a Dean girl, it broke my heart how they portrayed Dean as a teen.

the good part about this episode was seeing Dean as a gym teacher. but what happened to Dean hating high school and never wanting to go back? he actually kinda has fun going back.
i expected teen dean not to look like an exact replica of the dean we have now only younger, he even has the same jacket, i find that pretty lame. i like the jacket though, but still, he shouldn't be a shrunken-looking Dean. i knew the girl was coming, but it was quite lame. and why didn't dean get in trouble at all? i thought he would be in detention and stuff, he just kinda wallows in his own self-pity and acts like a real big shot. i love dean, but not teen dean, im with the pretending that teen dean was not even in this episode. i don't even think adult dean even believes that he's a hero (especially after his time in hell), so i don't think that's something teen dean should have said.
i thought that young sam being so small was something to think about, but they used the same actor to play young sam in A Very Supernatural Christmas, so i think that they didn't want to change the actor. it was a stretch, but i think they wanted to get the idea across that he was small and could be bullied. i knew that sam had some kind of fighting skills, i was waiting for so long for him to go all kung-fu on the bullie's ass, but it kinda knocked me back when we found out the bully was the spirit.
i know this episode sucked writing wise, but i think that it was just a comic relief episode. i thought yellow fever was hilarious, especially the outtake with jensen lipsynching eye of the tiger, but it was definitely lacking. i do wish there was one new thing we learned, what about apocalyptic details? we haven't heard much. or about how sam went off with ruby? did he kill lilith? that would be delightful, but not realistic at all because that would have been nice to know about. kripke usually does a good job with revealing things, maybe everyone was on vacation when this one was written. i think kripke should at least advise the storylines for every episode.

Moira, hi!!!!!!
Um, I liked it? I wasn't overly fond of Teen-Dean, I didn't like the "I'm a hero"-scene at the end and I found that he was too disrespectful to the teachers for them to just let it slide, but apart from that, I liked him. I think the way he treated his girlfriend fit with what we know about him. He must have treated her good in the beginning, as she wanted to introduce him to her parents. Only then did he start to screw things up. I think using that other girl was just a way of protecting himself from getting too attached. Him being disrespectul fit too, IMO. At this point, he doesn't care about school anymore. He doen't need a diploma to become a hunter, so why bother? I don't think he would act that way if John was around, but John was gone, so he had a little bit of freedom.
I loved little Sam. He was exactly like I always pictured him.
Can anyone tell me where I know his teacher from? I know I know him ... I just can't remember where from!
