I'm not a fan of Hilary Swank... and I didn't love this movie... BUT there is no denying that JDM adds a special spark to the screen... Maybe because he runs around naked? (perhaps it is a body double though... You decide...) more? Sure... Oh hi, did you see me naked? YEah, well, I know I have a mighty fine ass... I am Dean's dad after all... So hey, let's go to bed... Look, I'm all manly now... hay bales anyone? And we meet again in sunshine... and boy does my smile light up a room... Just too damn cute a' smile...

After everything I read about the movie (in comparison to the book), JDM is the only reason I still want to see it. Awesome pictures!!!

Rob's mom keeps telling me I should watch it, but I'm just not into romantic movies. Of course, now I know why she was so excited about JDM being in the movie!

If you like the story of the movie (and I hate to say that because of JDM), skip the movie and read the book. Because it's soooooo much better! It's not a romantic story per se. It's a story about a woman who has lost her husband and finds her way back to life. Yes, there are romantic scenes, but the book is so much more. And Cecila Ahern (the author) is such a talented writer, she's amazing! There is some kind of magic in her books that makes it really hard to stop reading.

Yes, Hilary Swank is the wrong actress to play Holly. And in the book ... they did not have sex. I think they kissed, but that's it. And they didn't go to Ireland for vacation ... the book PLAYS in Ireland!!! Her family was bigger and played a more important part. And the mother had nothing to do with the letters. They changed the WHOLE book!!!! I'm still going to watch the movie though eventually, just to see JDM in it At least thanks to him, I can enjoy the sex scenes

wow... the book is VERY different from the movie. I HATE when they do that. Say it is "inspired" by a book then, and use a different title. It's SO misleading.

Don't get me started on movies "supposedly" based on a book. Michael Landon Jr. is totally on my black list because of his "interpretation" of the Love Come Softly series. I started reading those books when I was 15 and the Hallmark Channel shows MLJr's version. It's HORRIBLE! The only thing that resembles the books are the names of the movies! Ok, sorry...rant over. Now back to JDM and his long torso...

That's why it's never good to watch a movie when you've read the book. Even Lord of the Rings had me disappointed on some parts (though I still love the movies and the book!)

The only movie that I liked that was totally different that the book was "The Interitance" by Louisa May Alcott. The book made me want to do this . But the movie was WONDERFUL!

See now, Lord of the Rings and even the Dan Brown book... (blanking on the name.) I LIKED the movies, as it made me better able to visualize the story... BUT, most often, the movies are not good. HP has done ok...
