We were eating lunch and Hannah says to me, "Is Bloody Mary real?" GULP! My first thought was: HOLY CRAP! My response was: "It's an urban legend."

Wonder if she's watched the episode?

Yikes! Was she okay with your answer, or did she want more?

Some of her friends were talking about it, so she hasn't seen the episode. She seemed satisfied with the answer, but I could tell she was a bit freaked out by what they had said.

Hmmm... I'd never heard of it until I saw it on the show...

I've heard about it before, but only from horror movies, I think.
That's really freaky, J'babe.

I remember kids talking about "REDRUM" as a kid, and it freaked me out (still does!), so I can see why she'd be freaked. No nightmares, I hope?

If I remember correctly (it's been a long time!), it's pretty much the same thing as "Bloody Mary." You reoeat it so many times in the mirrior, and then some killer or something supposedly scary awful happens. "REDRUM" is "murder" spelled backwards.

Never heard of Redrum either.
No, no nightmares that I know of. And she's good at letting me know about her dreams and such. Can't say that I knew about Bloody Mary before I saw SN.
I do remember the legend of The Hookman tho. I remember many a times telling that one at a slumber party. LOL

Is "The Shining" where "redrum" comes from (I've never been able to watch that movie)?
