From cwtv.com:
On TransNational flight 2485, a man possessed by the spirit of the Phantom Traveler causes the plane to crash, leaving only five survivors left alive. Sam and Dean must exorcise the angry spirit before it attacks the survivors. The brothers realize the only way to do that is to take the battle to the skies.
Richard Hatem wrote the episode directed by Bob Singer.

Having watched five episodes, I've finally got it what and whom the show is about. Or at least who it tries to be about. It's like I initially thought, too - it's Sammy's show, because he is the poor one who got forced into the "family business", and who's girlfriend died and all. And I'm not dissing Sammy here, just sayin'. So it tries to be Sammy's show, but JA so dominates the screen I won't be surprised if the tables turn very soon. Because it really is Dean's show already (I mean as of the fifth episode) - despite of the writers' intentions. I still haven't decided whom I like more, though. Sam is cuter, by my standards anyway, but Ackles's acting abilities knock me out every moment I see him on screen. The scene at the airport totally blew me off. "Is there a problem?" Sam asks, and Dean SO looks as if he was going to say "Noope," but says "Yes." Amazing acting. As in BSG, I would like to take the secondary primary character to droll upon, but even though Dean appears to be that secondary here, I'm afraid he'll soon become the front-and-center. So for now I'll stick with liking both of them. Is that okay? Also, while figuring out Yor was pretty easy (that posessiveness...), I still have no idea who Jensenbaby is. Do I know her from AR? If so I will need a little hint, please...

Yep, Jensenbaby is at AR, too. As for a hint? Hmmm...she's not a "Lee" girl.
Great insights, too. I recall reading somewhere that Kripke said the show was suppose to be through Sam's eyes, but I don't think the writers knew what they had with Jensen to begin with, and then also the chemistry between Jared and Jensen (which, while I am a Dean/Jensen girl, the chemisty is one of the things that really attracted me to the show). And I also love the airport scene (esp as someone who does not like to fly!).

The airport scene is one of my absolute favourite scenes of the whole show!!! JA's acting really is amazing! He can play so many different emotions within just one short moment, it's facinating to watch him I never saw this as a Sammy or Dean show ... for me, it's always been about the brothers, both of them, about where they are in the beginning and to where this leads them. Granted, in Season 1, it's mostly about Sam - the dead girlfriend, what happened to his mother and the things happening to him. Maybe it's just because of Jensen's acting, but despite all that I always felt that Dean played a big part in all that too. And just wait for Seasons 2 and 3 ... Dean's getting some great stories
