I just thought about something else that I loved in this episode. It doesn't really have anything to do with the story though. After Sam talked to Bobby on the phone and Dean asks what he said, Sam answers: "That we're morons." I could practically see Bobby in that moment saying those words

There is something else I just thought about: In this episode, Sam said that John told him the monsters under his bed aren't real.
In the pilot, Sam said that when he was nine and afraid of the monster in the closet, his father gave him 45. (or something like that).
I wonder if something more happened between Sam and John that made John change his behavior towards his youngest.
Or did he simply decide that with 9 years Sam was old enough to start hunting or at least learn about it? Hmm .....

It would be interesting to see, but I suspect it is more a problem in the differing natures of his two boys...
More fic opportunity for you...

OK, I know my emotions are still out of sorts (at best) but... As I watched the final scene in the hotel room last night... I cried. The unsaid emotion just hit me... I think especially now since I know how the season ended...
yikes... bawling

I was close to crying too! It's such an emotional scene and they are both saying so much without words.
