I would come in a second if it wouldn't be for the flight prices. Are you going??? Texas would be perfect for you, wouldn't it?

It depends on whether I get my license to teach summer school or not... I'll starting pushing the principal again on Monday...

ok, I'm not getting it. The only ticket information I can find is $450 dollars for the whole weekend. Yes, sounds fun, but all I really want to do is the autograph thing and attend a session... I don't see any other options. I'm sorry, but I live in the real world where I don't spent that kind of money on stuff like this. Does that make me a bad fan? What am I missing? I'd consider attending because Dallas is a "hometown" for me, or in Silke's case, where you get a unique inside perspective from connections, but I can't make a life out of conventions... not at that cost. Seriously, this worries me. Do people really do this at those costs? I want MONEY!

For the FedCon, where I'm going, they're selling weekend tickets too, but also tickets for just one day (which are still expensive, IMO, but what do I know). Are you sure there are no tickets for just one day? It would be so great if you could go.

$450? Wow, that's expensive (and here I thought the $60 I paid for the full weekend of DragonCon was expensive). NOw, does the $450 include photo ops and autographs, because, if so, that would make a little more sense (for instance, it was, I think $25 for a photo op with Jamie and $20 for an autograph). Of course, it still sounds really expensive. I do liek Sil mentioned and check into a one-day thing.
Do you know who's hosting it (as in, is it a Creation Con)?
Man, how I wish these guys would come to DragonCon (but I seriously doubt they would).

It is creation and I looked all over for other ticket information and couldn't find anything other than the weekend ticket.
$60 makes sense... I'd do that once.... That's like a football game or other professional sport or theater ticket...

I SWEAR I hit those exact links this morning! Those options weren't listed. However, I still can't justify $50 for an autograph... $20, I would bite my lip, but I'd bleed at $50. Dirty damn... curse my sensible brain. Course it probably doesn't help that I'm spending $5000 on the house in the next two week. Perhaps it would seem more reasonable if there was a husband supporting my lifestyle. (One of the only reasons I can find for getting one.)

Yes, it's a lot of money. But ... (says the crazy girl who spends 30 € for an autograph from Jamie Bamber) you wouldn't just get an autograph, you'd also meet Jared in person and actually get the chance to talk to him, albeit only for a few short moments.
