Castiel continues to struggle with the burdens that come with his new-fangled power. The broken wall in Sam's head causes him to have hallucinations, and he has difficulty discerning what's real and what's not. Bobby worries that Dean is beginning to stumble under the weight of fighting Castiel and keeping an eye on Sam.
Guy Bee directed the episode written by Ben Edlund.

Bobby is not really dead, is he? I would have read that SOMEWHERE, right? Right??? I LOVED all the hurt/comfort scenes between the boys. FINALLY no instant angel healing! They even ended up in an ambulance! It's like the perfect fanfiction I fully expect Bobby to save them from that hospital. Enjoyed seeing Sherrif Mills again.

I wouldn't worry about Bobby. I fell out of love with this show last season. I've seen both episodes thus far (although I admit to fast-forwarding through some of the premiere). I still don't have the same love for it. I will admit that this episode was better than most of season 6, so I'm willing to see where they're going with it (plus, JA is so hard to quit ), but I do have my finger on the fast-forward button as well. While I've never been a fan of the insta-healing, I do miss Cas. And Bobby's house-- I think the monster is creepy, though. "Don't drink the water..."

I wasn't too excited about last season either, but I don't want to give up on the show. This season, I like what I'm seeing so far. I feel the same about Bobby's house I hope he'll build it up again. I can see the three of them working on it together. I don't think Castiel is really dead. His body might be, but Castiel could easily have gone back to heaven. Although I'm pretty sure that when he'll return he'll still be in the same body, because the fans love Misha Collins so much. I WISH they wouldn't do it and give him another body, like they did with Ruby, but I don't think it will happen.
