I read this over at FFnet. It isn't the greatest thing I've ever read, and at times it felt a little...mushy...to me (Sam is almost too angsty for me), but reading how Dean explains the movie "Dumbo" to Sam had me . www.fanfiction.net/s/5077070/1/DumboIt takes place after the season finale.

The story had me completely engrossed until the end, when it got a bit too smalzy, but WOW. I agree. (Course, I'm with Dean. I don't really know the story of Dumbo. How did he do?)

Heh, I'm not really sure (it's been years since I saw it). The feather thing ir right, and the fact that he was taken away from his mother is, too. Other than that, I'm not sure. I do know that all that stuff about Simba and Tarzan was wrong, though!
ETA: Oh, and it wasn't Jiminy Cricket with Dumbo, it was a mouse.

I don't recall ever seeing the movie and vaguely recall reading the book, maybe once. I knew who he was... but I was a Bambi girl. It was the first movie I ever saw in a theater (re-released).

Strangely, Bambi never did anything for me. Dumbo on the other hand ... I've always loved the little guy.
