from SFUniverse:
As time runs out for Dean, Sam convinces him to head to Eerie, Pennsylvania to investigate a possible zombie case. Instead, they discover Doc Benton (guest star Billy Drago), a real-life doctor who, in 1816, abandoned his medical practice to follow his obsession with finding the key to eternal life by drugging people and stealing their vital organs.
Written by Sera Gamble and directed by Charles Beeson.

I didn't post the whole summery above, as I think it might be a bit spoilery (go figure that I read it despite the fact that I wanted to stay spoilerfree ... I'll never learn ;D).
Anyway, here's the last part of above summery:
Spoiler
Spoiler
Spoiler
Spoiler

Meanwhile, Bobby finds out where Bela is hiding, and Dean heads out to confront her, leaving Sam behind to deal with the good doctor. Dean and Bela battle it out for the last time, and Dean leaves Bela in a desperate, and possibly fatal, position.

Here are my thoughts, in no particular order, and probably not all of them because it's late...
First--I'm just happy I got to see this episode! We were suppose to get some really bad storms, but they seemed to have passed us by (now, who knows what'll happen tomorrow).
Hey--it's the Stargate: Atlantis guy! Poor dude. This one gave me the heebee-geebees. There were a few times I had to turn my face, and the music didn't help! The heart scene reminded me of the scene in the Frankenstein movie that came out around 1994/1995. Just gross! I had to rub my eyes after the Sammy scene. And what's up with Sam--he's gotten caught and tied up by the MotW three weeks in a row! At least he didn't see anyone die in front of him this week, though. I felt bad for him--he's so desperate that he's trying to convince Dean to become immortal. I think Dean was very in character--I do think he would rather go to hell than become something he hunts. We already know how he feels about that, given that scene he had with Ruby in the witch episode.
Ah, Bella, what can I say? I didn't really care for the reason she made the deal, but she's gone, so I can't complain. I did like the scenes with her and Dean, and I LOVED his last line to her!
That doctor was creepy! I just read that one of the comic books has him in it, which is interesting. Good continuity, show.
Lililth--not thrilled with the fact that she holds the contract. What's up with that? She wants Sam dead, but she had him dead and made the deal to bring him back? Huh? I think it's too easy--she holds all the deals? Now, when the demon said it was Mary, my heart stopped for a second. That right there would be a twist! And, does Lilith have the Colt now? Loved the blow-up dolls!
Dean--I love you! What more is there to say? He was smart here, and I love it when the writers give us smart Dean (esp where Bella is concerned). How they dealt with the doctor freaks me out, though! {{shudders}}
STEVEN WILLIAMS!!!!! I love this guy! 21 Jump Street!!!!!! I hope they bring him back. I really enjoyed his scenes with Dean, and how I wish he was in the episode more. Please, Kripke, bring him back (but don't kill him off).
I can feel the boys' desperation.
Next week--I'm determined to stay spoiler free (although, between that preview and the small pic in TV Guide, they are determined to spoil me!) I'm betting, though, that the show is totally opposite of the preview.
Overall, I liked this one. It's the best post-strike one (in my opinion) so far.

I missed the beginning... so I need to rewatch things. I also felt for Sam's desperation. And No, Dean wouldn't make that choice.
It makes sense that Lilith holds the contract, as she wants Sam dead. She knows the boys will have to try something... Right? of course the question is WHY???
Thats all for now.

Just remembered--Sam was in another rental car this week!
I'm still disappointed with the Lilith thing. I have to wonder if the writers knew it was her from last season's finale, or they just decided to make it that way this season. I'm not crazy about the whole demon storyline anyway, and I think it makes it too easy for her to hold the contract. I would have liked someone like Meg, actually. I really wanted the deal storyline to be about Dean, and now I feel like it's more about Sam. But, being unspoiled (so far), I know I may be totally wrong and nicely surprised, so I'll hold off trying to make assumptions until next week's episode.
Feel free to tell me to shut-up! ;D

Note to myself: Don't make something to eat right before watching an SPN episode!!! Especially when you KNOW that it's going to be a gross one! OMG, Show, I love you!!!! My heart broke for the boys over and over again in this episode. Sam is so desperate that he's even considering Doc Benton's way to save Dean. And Dean ... gosh, when he left to find Bela, it so felt like a good bye to Sam. I agree that it was in character for Dean to not go Doc Benton's way . He would never turn into something like that (although, give him time enough in hell and he'll turn into a demon *cry*). I'm going to miss Bela. The flashback made me like the character even more. The way she is today ... it makes sense. And that she made a deal ... wow!!! Lillith is a bitch for tricking her into that! Dean knew what he was getting into ... but a young girl who probably knew nothing about the supernatural and who just wanted to escape her abusive father? She was an innocent back then and I really wish there could have been a way to save her *sniff* Nevertheless, I LOVED that Dean had the chance to get back at her, hehe. I noticed the rental car LOL It just feels wrong seeing Sam in anything else but the Impala. Lillith holding the contract: When Dean made the deal, the YED was still alive. So Lillith probably had no reason back then to want Sam dead - he was no danger because the YED was still around. She probably only started to want Sam dead once the YED was out of the picture. Sam is supposed to take his place - a place that Lillith wants for herself. Hence, Sam has to die. And shame on Bela for trying to kill Sam to save herself!!! If only she had asked the boys for help earlier *sigh* STEVEN WILLIAMS!!!!! I love this guy! 21 Jump Street!!!!!!THAT's where I knew him from. Thank you!!! I have to wonder if the writers knew it was her from last season's finale, or they just decided to make it that way this season.I am 100 % sure that they knew from the beginning that Lillith would hold the contract. Kripke had the whole story arc planned from the beginning, he repeatedly said so. And with Kripke being Kripke, I totally believe it. It's not like with BSG where after 2 seasons they sit down and think: Who can we turn into a Cylon? There are so many small things already in S1 that point to things that will be revealed later, like Mary saying "I'm sorry" to Sam in "Home" or Dean's bleeding eyes "in Bloody Mary". Kripke has it all planned and I'm sure we can be assured that nothing just gets decided because it seems to fit at the time. That's what I love about the show!!! That's actually something I don't like on BSG: If they had planned for Tyrol & Co. to be Cylons from the beginning, I would love this whole storyline so much more. But they just made it up somewhere after S2 or in the middle of S3 - to me, that's somehow disappointing *shrugs*

Dean's bleeding eyes "in Bloody Mary"I'm still waiting to see why his eyes bled! I just remembered something else I found amusing--when Dean was eating and Sam kept trying to make him sick! They can be such boys!!!! You know, if they played Bela like this from the beginning, I probably would have liked her more. It hink the actress herslef is good, but the way they wrote the character turned me off. but a young girl who probably knew nothing about the supernatural and who just wanted to escape her abusive father? This is part of the reason why I didn't like that they went with the abusive storyline (that and I think it's been overused on TV as it is). Although, it was kind of freaky when the little girl's eyes went red. She probably only started to want Sam dead once the YED was out of the picture. Sam is supposed to take his place - a place that Lillith wants for herself. Hence, Sam has to die. This makes sense, but I'm still not crazy about it (what can I say--I think it would have been cool to have Meg own the contract--we know how she feels about Dean). I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that she wants Dean for Dean (I mean, who wouldn't want him? )

Well, that would be a bit shallow, but who could blame her? Who could blame her indeed! What I meant to say, though, is that I hope there is something special about him (kind of like Sam's powers) that makes her want him.
