I thought the same thing, Sil. I sure hope the network isn't trying to get involved again.
I wonder if this will be the one(s) where we learn about what happened to Sam when Dean went to hell? They keep saying that we'll find out eventually...maybe this is the "eventually?"

Okay, so while surfing the web tonight, I came across a link to some sides from this episode. While I didn't read them all because there's quite a bit, I read a couple, and...holy frak! I am so looking forward to this one! If you're interested-- spoilertv-supernatural.blogspot.com/2008/09/episode-409-casting-sides.html**** I think Jared is going to knock it out of the park with this one! He is going to shine!****

I'm hesitant to read it. Does it say if we find out about Sam's four months?

There are a couple of flashbacks that I saw.

"And some don't like you at all." From the second clip, I love Sam's face after she says that, like yeah great more fans. Ummm, guys, tv.com says this episode will premiere November 13, but football is on the CW. What is this nonsense? Is this just in NY or all of the US? Never mind, I found out it was just in NY, while every other part of the country gets to watch it.

Yay--the boys were in suits again!!!!! Someone in wardrobe read my mind and realised how hot those boys look in suits!!!! I liked Anna...I kind of felt bad for her. And now the angels want to kill her, which I understand, but still. Although, I kind of had to yell at the boys at the end. I mean, she told them she heard angels, and when she tells them that someone is coming, they act like it's a bunch of demons! But, hey, I also find it hot when the boys handle the guns, so I can't complain about that. Plus, I loved the way Castiel and Uriel sauntered in there. I have to wonder how Dean is going to feel about the angel who saved him wanting to kill an innocent girl? Especially considering what was shown in the previews for next week... Loved the whole crashing though the window and the hurt stuff at the hotel. This show is best when it's the boys together. Allistair was scary..I wish we would have gotten more of him. I mean, Sam couldn't even make a dent in the guy... The flashbacks--at first, I liked it. My heart broke for Sam. No one wanted to make a deal, and then he finds out the demons wanted his brother in hell. Funny how these guys turn to drinking to deal with stuff, too. He really seemed to be channeling John for a while, but then Ruby showed up. This is where I disliked the episode. Apologies to anyone who does like her, but I like her even less now then I did before, which is saying something because I really disliked her before. I wanted to see how Sam handled Dean being gone, and instead I feel like I got how Ruby came to Sam, how great and wonderful she is because she's risked everything and saved his life! And she remembers being human! Ugh... Then they sleep together (ewwww!). I mean, I know it shows how messed up Sam is, but they could have shown something else. They could have shown Sam going into hunts unprepared, reckless, not caring what happened to him. Instead we get how Ruby is a demon with feelings! Then I have to watch as Dean apologizes to her! WTF? She's a demon! Since Sam slept with her, does that mean she's going to die (please!) or since she's already in a dead body, am I stuck with her? Sorry for ranting, but I can't stand her. I wanted this to be Sam's story, and I get Ruby. And the actress does nothing for me. We did get a shirtless Sam/Jared, so that was a plus, but we could have gotten that anyways (all the show had to do was show Sam getting drunk and sleeping around to try and numb the pain). I did like the maid-Ruby, though. I am a little let down, though, because I was hoping more would be revealed. We only saw Sam for 2 months without Dean. What about the other 2? Are we to assume that he just kept practicing his powers and sleeping with Ruby? What about Bobby? And I was hoping to see them bury Dean, too. Does Anna know why the angels pulled Dean out of hell? Why did she start hearing them at the same time that Dean was saved? What exactly is it about Sam that the angels don't like? Is it his demon-blood (which he had no control over) or the fact that he uses his powers (which, he did have control over). It sure didn't take him long to tell Ruby he wanted to use them, either. A month after he promises Dean he won't, he is. I was thinking it took a while longer before he gave in. And did he try anything else to get Dean out of hell, or was it just that one crossroads demon? Did he summon more to try to deal? Did he go back to the gates of hell and try to open another way? I woul dhave seen him more trying everything he could...researching everything he could, and when nothing works, and he's all out of hope, that's when he turns to his powers. I feel like the show short-changed his character here, all in favor of the demon with a heart of gold. Ugh!!!!! Maybe next time I need to add double the amount of amaretto to my egg nog than I did tonight...

Also wanted to add...
I didn't care for Sam saying that Ruby told him things the way Dean would. I mean, it's like he's comparing Ruby and Dean, which I didn't much like. I'm still hoping that Ruby isn't all she's appearing to be (demons lie, Sam!). I mean, why would she want to help Sam? Please tell me she has an ulterior motive.
The statue's eyes bleeding was creepy!
They lost the knife! First the colt, now the knife! Does this mean Sam will be using his powers more? Of course, sometimes I think they forgot that they can say an exorcism! ;D
I do think they are subtlely showing how hard Sam has become, I just think they should concentrate on his story and not his and Ruby's story! The old Sam (I don't think) would never push his brother to relive 40 years of hell...he would be more compassionate about it. I did like how compassionate he was when telling Anna her parents were dead, though.
